What I suck at -

Come on 'what I'm brilliant at?' dear me.My ego is bad enough without making a list. Sooooo...I suck at thinking before I speak, I suck at not losing my temper, being alone, dancing (oh I love it but I look like a monkey on speed), not biting the skin off my thumbs and losing.

What I'd like to change about myself

I'd like to become less judgemental, I have a tendency to form first impressions which I find hard to shake. I'd also like to be more independent, being surrounded by a close circle of friends and living at home my whole life has made me sheltered I fear.

Naughtiest thing I've ever done

oh lord...really? ooo la la...apart from the typical sex-capades, childhood peeing incidents, mild drug abuse, minor thefts, gate-crashing posh functions and placing biting politio-satrical signs around the place(the middle class rebellion)? Nothing. I'm a good girl.

Scared of

Planes. Not flying on them like most people. Oh no...I'm scared of them landing on me. I used to wear a crash helmet in bed when I was a child...I'm not sure how I thought six ounces of plastic from halfords would protect me from a jumbo jet but there you go. Oh and sharks. I used to think Jaws would come out of the toilet, always made sure someone was out further than me in the sea and was convinced one day someone would release one into the pool. Ah...the dark, birds, clowns and cancer causing chemicals hidden in my food. Still...I'm a fairly happy person really...no really.

Happiest when

Two very alternative situations 1)High on adrenaline/sugar/alcohol being far too loud and far too childish with a group of equally inebriated folks who just want to run around. Once I get in a silly mood I can have equal fun at a theme park or a funeral. I love to laugh and make people laugh and I do both a lot. 2) I like nature. I'm a bit of a naturephile. In it, catching it, drawing it, mowing and weeding it, taming it or being tamed by it. I think as a historian I enjoy the long picture and looking upon any constant makes me smile - I guess that is the big draw for me.

Favourite music, movie, magazine

Music - White Stripes. I like all of the contemporary Detroit lot but going back I like bluesy stuff. I've got pretty ecletic tastes really. Film - I like good comedies like spinal tap, best in show, shaun of the dead and I also like really, really bad horror films like Bad Taste. In fact all horror is guarenteed to get a laugh. Except Wolf Creek. That film shit me up. Magazines/Newspaper - Well I read the guardian as my daily, but I read Heat at the weekend. Not as paradoxical as it seems. I just like to keep my 'news' and my 'trash' distinct. Hate the tabloids....comic strips with boobs dressed up like something they ain't (not the boobs...although we could say that as well)
