Things I Like To Direct the attention of my brain towards

I was singer and a guitarist in a few bands in Manchester , but have now moved to cornwall. i intend to start a bluesy style band here. I also love to paint and draw pictures(see- www.stuarthampton.blogspot.com), i read occassionally but usually find i dont have the attention span for it although i'm reading a few philosophy books at the mo, i like to space my mind out as much as possible by putting myself in odd situations.

The Doors!!!! David Bowie, Cream, Crosby stills nash and young, bob marley, lynard skynard, I'm into loads of diverse things though really, dependant on my mood, classical, i listened to beethoven's 5th this morning on vinyl- i'm not a big fan of beethoven but don't have any other classical on vinyl, i still enjoyed it though. I also love electro, like gary newman, and sometimes drum and bass.

Favorite distortion of reality...

Once i was on the dancefloor at the warehouse project in manchester and i had a couple of balloons of laughing gas, and it was so trippy i couldn't believe it, all time slowed down and there was trailer's and everything, there was also this crazy delay effect with sound and i could hear myself speak after i had spoken, it was like i'd suddenly just lived special effects on a film. Another favorite was when i was meditating once, i did it with my eye's open, sat naked in the dark, when suddenly a huge vortex opened up beneath me and the whole of reality started to sway a little...apparently according to some buddhist beliefs reality is supposed to sway a little, so maybe i had a glimpse of true perception....trippy.

Scared of

I've got a phobia of cow's, they scare the crap out of me, most farm animals do, because of that absent mindeded gaze that they give you...kind of reminds me of the look some people gave me when i was in india at an ashram (a place where people devote their lives to the worship of a divine spirit) like they had no grip on reality. I've got a phobia of cow's because my dad, for some unknown reason used to take me and my family rambling through fields of bulls about 2 times a week throughout my childhood, and they would often stampede after us whilst my dad beat them off with logs...it was disconcerting to say the least. Dont get me wrong though, i do love farm animals, i've been a vegetarian for 10 years or more.

What is your ultimate wish?

I would love everyone to realise that we are all connected, there is no such thing death, only love and life, we are all one energy experiencing itself subjectively and that we are all connected to this one true existence- in indian philosophy known as 'Brahman'- One vibration, singular, perfect and loving.
